Eating THRIVE Blueberries is a simple way to boost your health. With the power of antioxidants, blueberries improve your heart health and help strengthen your vision. Studies also show that blueberries will increase brain function so you can feel energized and refreshed all day long.

You can rehydrate THRIVE Blueberries to make delicious smoothies, desserts, and even baby food. You can also eat THRIVE Blueberries right out of the can for a quick and nutritious snack.

Rehydration Instructions:

To rehydrate, add small amounts of warm water to product for approximately 10 minutes, or until fully hydrated.

What is freeze drying?
THRIVE freeze-dried products are flash frozen, sublimated, and packaged to remove as much water as possible, all without sacrificing quality or nutritional value. These foods last longer and are healthier than foods that are simply dehydrated. Though both processes remove significant amounts of water from perishable food items, the speed of freeze drying locks in existing tastes and nutrients that would be lost during dehydration. Additionally, since freeze drying removes a greater percentage of water than dehydration, the shelf life of freeze-dried food increases by several years.

Storage Conditions

Temperature: Storing THRIVE at a high temperature can significantly increase the speed that calories and vitamins will degrade over time. In the correct storage container, low-moisture foods such as THRIVE can be stored at room temperature or cooler (75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower) and remain nutritious and edible for years. Our stated shelf life assumes that the product will be stored in optimal conditions.

Humidity: The effects of humidity on a closed can are caused by heat and very similar to the effects of high temperature (see above). High humidity can corrode the cans and in some cases even cause the cans to leak. Areas with high humidity can reduce the opened shelf life of the product. As humidity varies with location please use your own discretion to prevent possible sickness from eating spoiled food.

Damaged Container: Minor dents in the center of the can are usually just a cosmetic issue. However, a can that has been dented near or on a seam can have a compromised air-tight seal and allow oxygen to enter the can. If this is the case we recommend using the dented can within the specified opened shelf life, rather than closed.

The best way to maintain the highest quality of your THRIVE products is to take care of them. If you intend on storing your food for the sealed shelf life, store the cans in a place that is not open to elements such as water, light, and air. Take care of it. Don't expose it unnecessarily to the elements. Also, be sure to keep the temperature and humidity low and even. Under these proper storing situations your THRIVE will maintain its delicious taste, natural coloring, and proper nutrients.

  1. Top of the line

I was very excited to try the blueberries and I was not disappointed! Love the light crunchy texture straight out of the can. They rehydrate beautifully, too. I toss a handful in to my bowl of hot oatmeal and voila---I have a yummy and nutritious breakfast! Our little Yorkie thinks they are the best treat EVER....but then he likes the peas...Fuji apples...yogurt bites...bananas....actually, he LOVES all of the SR foods! Lol

  3. Wonderful Food

My toddler just can't get enough of these blueberries, and he is a very pick eater. They are by far his favorite; and they are also perfect for placing in pancakes. I just plop them in, no need to rehydrate, and the batter hydrates them for me. Can you say, awesome? I sure can. Way awesome product. So glad it is carried here.

  4. A lot of uses

I do not buy fresh blueberries because they are so expensive and don't last very long. This is a great solution. I soak them in juice or water to use in whole fruit smoothies. I use them is pancake mix/muffin mix, but the use that surprised me the most was just eating them as a snack. I mix them with nuts or other freeze dried fruit to make a trail mix.

  5. Good

My 5 year old likes them out of the can. They were okay that way, but I prefer them hydrated or in a recipe.

  6. Addicting!

Out of all the freeze dried fruits I love these the most. While we try to stock pile most of our Thrive foods the blueberries are always eaten. I love them in yogurt, oatmeal, smoothies, plain and just about any other way. These are VERY good!

  7. Amazing!!!

These are REALLY good blueberries. We're from the Northeast (I'm originally from Maine!) so we're pretty spoiled when it comes to blueberries, and have very high standards. I'm usually disappointed with freeze-dried, dehydrated, canned, etc. These, though, are delicious! They tasted like the "real" thing. Not only are they awesome straight out of the can as a snack, they reconstitute very well. My whole family loves them!

  8. Excellent quality

I am brand new to freeze dried foods. I tried the 6 grain pancake mix with freeze dried blueberries as my first introduction. Simply amazing! I do recommend that you mix your pancake batter first, then fold in the blueberries just when you are ready to pour onto your griddle. Otherwise, you will end up with purple pancakes (not that that is a bad thing). Also, I've tried adding both re-hydrated and freeze dried berries into my batter. I like adding them freeze dried better. They hold their color and shape a little better. It tasted great both ways, though! :)

And, the blueberries make a great crunchy snack!

  9. One Word "AMAZING"

The first Thrive product I tried, they are just amazing. My super picky 5 year old was eating them right out of the can. Sweet and super yummy.

  10. What a way to get your anti-oxidants

These crunchy blueberries are so sweet and delicious! Eat them right out of the can or put them in yoghurt, ice cream, pancakes, muffins...whatever, they are the best!

  11. perfect for snacks or baking

I normally don't like blueberries, but these have a good flavor/texture that I enjoy eating. These are perfect for snacks, adding to pancakes/muffins, or in your favorite granola recipe.

  12. awesome blueberries

I normally don't like blueberries all that well but try to eat them for health benefits. But these are awesome! Right from the can, they are crispy and sweet (not bitter!) and just delicious. I have to limit how much we eat though because we could gobble up an entire can in a week if money was no object. Totally worth having in the pantry to grab for a snack to keep you from reaching for candy, chips, or other unhealthy convenience foods.
